Hey everyone!!

To round out the weekend i have one more new item to release! I have had a few requests for this so i am pleased to be able to make it available!! Sorry guys this one is just for the ladies (for now, let me know if you want a unisex one and we'll see). Specifically for those ladies who already have a bed but wish they could have the animation sets i use in it!



The Transfer version sells for 1099L and the copy version for 3500L, contains 154 fantastic animations, including single sits, friendly sits, cuddles, sex and threesome!

I have included a instruction manual to help you get it set up on your own bed, but as we all know beds come in different shapes and sizes, so odds are you will want to adjust these poses a bit. While i have included how to do that in the instructions, if you are wary of do-it-yourself items, this might not be the product for you!!

However, i am willing to help do some custom configurations (at an additional cost...these things take a bit of time) if you really want the engine but don't want to bother with configuring it!

This product pretty much only exists because so many of you asked for one (sniff sniff...they just like my menu's not my beds..waaaaaaah *whine whine whine*) and as most of you know, i do aim to please ;)

It is on display in store, so come and give it a try, though if you have tried one of my beds odds are you have seen it before ;)

Also i have a new building at the Boo's parcel, for items i am thinking of retiring. They will be offered at a lower price and only for a limited time. My old bunk beds are in there, some prefabs, club furniture and other furniture bits. If you want to see any of the boxed items just send me a IM or notecard and we'll make some arrangements.

And yes...i'm willing to haggle a little :)

Showertime with Boo!!!

New Releases this week, include a Shower Set, a new radio station and what will probably be the last of the radio booths!!

First the shower, which is really just the first part of a bathroom set i am putting together. It comes in 6 flavors, so you can be sure you will find at least one in a color you'll like! Also they are modify so you can change them.


This idea kind of came up after a customer made a comment in a review about how i was somehow trying to help them refurnish their house one piece at a time lol (ahhh lex you silly bish) and talked about wanting me to do a bathroom set.

Well who am I to argue with a suggestion like that? So i started with the shower, because I felt like it would probably be the most used piece of a bathroom set (with the exception of a hottub, which is coming). I figured the rest could follow in parts, and as long as i keep the colors available in each part, then you guys can slowly build your own bathroom!

The "Watersports" options were included as a request from a customer, but i have not added the particles for them....it is up to you to have a way to do that. I just supply the animations

So that is the new unisex product for this week, and the other parts to this set should come in the weeks to follow. Will probably release some of the smaller bits before I get to the hottub...had to get new animations for the shower and i already know i will for the hottub. lol. So best i sell a few things first :)

They are on display now in store, and on the New Marketplace. As I may have mentioned before I am not adding any more new products to xstreet, so please visit my store front at the New Marketplace for all the latest products

Second and third new products are the new radio station and the radio booth (which is included in that station. I won't do a big long description for these, as i already did a post on the booths before.

I will however point out that the Radio Station is basically a smaller, more generic version of the Lil Town Radio station, but with the new booth set up. So it no longer seems like just a talk radio station, but that of a rock and roll or music station.

It is furnished, with a Lobby, Reception area, Office and Conference area, with the Radio Booth found right at the heart of the building.

It is copy/mod and about 251 prims total (lots of that being the booth itself for the detail)

Won't go into too many furniture details...feel free to come and try them yourself, but i will mention that they are all copy/modify, with quality single sit animations

The Booth itself is pretty much as it was seen in my preview earlier in the blog so i will just leave you with the product image for now, and please do come to the shop and give it a try!!!

Back to School with BOO!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

it's that season (at least in north America) and to celebrate I've put together a new Girl/Girl product that fits with the theme!!

This is a girl/girl product (though i have made a unisex version of the Student desk i will release later)

I got to thinking i needed to do some themed products, to go with special holidays or events through the year...and when i tried thinking of what the next big thing was for the year, i got inspired by the massive number of Back to School flyers that have been arriving in my mailbox. lol. So after recycling them (imma good girl!) i sat down and started to plan out the classroom set!!

Really quite proud of this set which includes a Teachers Desk & Chalkboard, with a custom texture created by Beth Porterfield, and 2 Student Desks...also with a desktop created by the wonderfully talented Beth (please please please check out her store next to Boo's...some really nice clothing)

Each has been set up with animations to compliment the product and as always i only used the best available. Because of the "naughty schoolgirl" theme i had to get some spanks, and a few other discipline animations...which is not as easy as you might think (well it is..but to find quality ones that compliment the others i had? not so much)

Boo's Radio Booth 2 - Music

The process of releasing a second version of a product isn't usually a cut and dry thing. Sometimes it comes from me wanting to improve upon an earlier product (ie when i did my V2 bunk beds) and sometimes it comes from looking at a product that has not been selling and trying to figure out why (ie the original library product that was later replaced with the Lil Town Library).

In the case of my DJ Booths, it has evolved from a customer saying "Do you have a version like this?" and deciding that...perhaps i should!

The Story of the radio booth's is kinda a long one, and is still unfinished. It started almost a year ago when my friends partner set up a DJ booth for his radio station that i don't think he ever really got off the ground. He purchased one that he found on xstreet but expressed frustration that it had so many prims, and was not modify. I had always remembered that so at some point when i got into building, i asked him if i could see it again, and i would try to make something similar, with less prims and modify.

The first booth was a fairly basic thing, some chairs and microphones with a mixer and speakers, set up more like a talk radio booth as i had seen in pictures. I put it on xstreet at a fairly low price, modify/transfer, and it turns out there was a bit of a demand for it. While i haven't gotten many reviews *grumble* I have sold them fairly regularly.

One customer, and i wish i could remember who, asked me if i could recommend a building that the booth would work in. I had only released it as the booth itself, with no walls except the barrier between Sound booth and Interview table. It was then i thought that maybe it would be cool to make a complete radio station.

What started with just the booth, ended up turning into the Lil Town Radio Station, a complete furnished radio station prefab (that has been selling fairly good which means i did something right!). It was set up using the original booth, so it was basically a "Talk Radio" station. I even marketed it as such in the ad:

"Lil Town Talk Radio, the information super station for all things Lil Town. News, Sports, Politics, Commentary, you name it they got it!! This particular station is famous for the birth of shock radio jock Amibugginya Rhapsody, who as we all know went on to great and wonderful things we won't rehash here"

Sure enough another customer approached me and asked if i had done a version for a music station, with turntables and i thought.....well sure i should do that!

It was one of those projects that i spread out over a few weeks, not making it a priority over my other projects but doing a little bit on it every days. I started with the basic booth and pretty much unlinked it all. Then slowly and started to rebuild it, based somewhat on a community radio station i had seen a few years ago.

I thought that most of the dj's in Second Life that i met just play through a playlist, or just take requests (me included really) but many of the professional ones actually beat mix through records like trance, house, hip-hop etc. So when i set out to do this, i was keeping the Mixer Dj in mind.

The result was DJ Booth 2, which included the turntables and dj animation for that music feel, while still keeping that separate talk radio wall, for guests or other programming....i thought it was better to be useful for both (many radio stations feature different formats through the day after all)

Once i had it pretty much finished i decided the one thing i was lacking on the original version was a stream changer...a way for someone to swap streams easily for different programs...so i added a radio script to the main mixer, allowing people to put streams in by name and link via notecard.

Then i contacted the customer who originally asked me about a music station to see if they would like to come have a look and tell me if what i had made would suit what they had been looking for. They came, and while they quite liked it, they gave me a more in depth description of what it was they were looking for, and that i had it close...but with a few tweaks it would be perfect for them.

And I admit, the ideas they gave me made me go "oh yeah cool i could do that..mhm". but no point in scrapping the Booth 2, I am sure it will appeal to someone, so it is now for sale on the Marketplace :)

Today i sat down and de-linked the new version and started putting a new variation of it together! When it is done it will be Booth Version 3....and to think i originally thought i would just do the one and never look at another radio booth idea again :) live and learn!

So here is a sneak peak for you of the new one in progress (and very soon to be released in not only a builders version but in a skybox station version!!! (note image quality is low as i took the piccy on my laptop and not my pc)

Boo's Pier of Romance

Lets move on from that Emerald drama shall we? mhm mhm mhm yes lets!

I'm fairly excited about this one...had been working on a few variations for a while. In the end i decided on this one because it seemed so many without rails were being sold lately, so i went with this sculpt map, added some lanterns, some pillows and a multi animation menu for both Boy/Girl and Girl/Girl couples.

I know, some of you are going to look and say "hey isn't that just the pillows from your rug?" and the answer is....well yeah...but i did go through the menus, took out animations and added different animations, making sure it wasn't just a rug copy. Every animation set picked to compliment the product, and not just used as a shortcut to push out something new. Like i said, i have been working on this for a while (in fact i started on this before i even released the rug...the rug idea coming to me after i threw the pillows on the first pier prototype...so no apologies from me!!)

Boo's Emerald Blog...yes....I gave in to peer pressure.

I know it is the hip new thing to post a Blog about the Emerald Drama that has been happening, and I am usually one of the people who sits back, grabs some popcorn and watches as the internet drama kings and queens have their little bitch slap contest for or against the viewer…making up my own damn mind and going on happily with my life.

In fact I am so used to being in observer mode that I still feel a little odd even addressing what has happened….part of me thinks I should just go back to my happy lurker status and log in with whatever viewer I am comfortable with.

But even after sifting through the drama to get the facts, the countless number of warnings sent out, and the official second life blog notice about it, I still logged in to a sea of green tags today…..and found it hard not to say something like “do you even know?”

I get that many people don’t read forums or blogs, and perhaps I can accept that some people just think it is a bunch of hogwash or some linden conspiracy to get people to move to the official viewers (which is crap really considering he made a point of saying or another TPV from the approved list) but what I have a real issue in accepting is that every single person choosing to ignore the problem, or arguing against it, or saying “screw you it’s not my problem” are pretty much sending the message “Hey emerald team, go ahead and do whatever you want, no matter how wrong it is, as long as my viewer works!”

That isn’t going to fix the problem.

Let me make this absolutely clear. I want to use emerald. It is my viewer of choice. It functioned in a way that made me very comfortable in Second Life. It had features that made my Second life more enjoyable and as a builder/Merchant more productive. I am not against the viewer in any way shape or form.

But I have stopped using it. I have tried other viewers, and found one that will suit my needs for now and until I feel I can trust the emerald team to put out a viewer that is clean.

If you continue to use emerald that is your choice and I will not call you an idiot and I will not ban you from my parcel, or kick you from my group or any other dumb thing I have seen people do. What I will say is, I worry that I will not be able to ever trust the emerald team and client without a clear message being sent to them now of how important that trust is. And the only way to do that is to log off the viewer, uninstall it and use another third party viewer.

Doing that sends a clear message in my opinion. It says “smarten up and don’t take your user base for granted. Shut your egos out the door, just fix the problems, and we MIGHT come back”

In all that I have read about The Emerald Team and all the drama surrounding what they have done, it is that the developers take some pride in the popularity of the viewer. In fact they tend to boast some about it. And why not? It was the most popular TPV available, and people were singing their praises. It was a hell of a lot better than Viewer 2 (which I just can not use. I have tried a few times. It kills my enjoyability).

If the viewer is still just as popular after an incident like this, how can we ever trust that something like this will not happen again? Because they have removed certain people? Because they say so? No it needs to be made clear that we expect more from them to earn our trust back. They can’t spin this into something that will be forgotten in a couple of days. Forgiveness takes time and takes effort…from both parties.

In this case the parties are the Emerald users, and the Emerald team. I am willing to put effort into forgiveness if they put effort into earning it. I will be happy to once again use a emerald client, after it has been verified and is back on the TPV list..maybe…if the Emerald team is more public, open and less arrogant about what has gone wrong.

There ARE options for emerald users. I currently am on Lordgreggreeg’s Emergence viewer, which is essentially Emerald Beta 2270, but clean of any controversial files. Imprudence is another I have been watching and wait eagerly for the next few releases to see what they do with all the suggestions of late.

You don’t have to use Viewer 2, and you don’t have to cry over not using emerald…if you don’t want to. I just think that if these people running to defend and argue emerald care that much about it, they should be yelling at the Emerald team for letting something like this happen, because they are the ones pissing on your parade. Everyone else is just trying to warn you…ok yes some are the previous haters who are having a little party over all of this…but many just want to make sure you are informed. Like me.

And I know how it is, to feel that they are all just “emerald haters”. I mean I see the same 5 people on the commerce forums having a cow over every little detail of the new marketplace and I eventually just tune out and stop looking at what they say. Emerald users have had to listen to this kind of thing from people for a long time.

But this time it is different. There is proof. Even the CEO of LL has acknowledged it, which is something that I havn’t seen with any other bits of drama. This isn’t something that should be taken lightly.

And that’s my silly emerald blog. Take it as you will :)

Boo's Sexy Laptop - Basic and Ultimate versions

I know I'm late! but i been all caught up in the Emerald drama (have officially uninstalled until they can earn back my trust). I might even do a blog about it...i mean everyone else has...it's the new hip thing!!! O.o

Anyhoo, Boo's Bits is proud to present......
















I know this may appear like a novelty item...which it is....but it is also a nice low prim Cuddle/Sex solution for people who want to cut back on prims...and well..it's cute :)

When building this product i had only intended on releasing a single version (which is the ultimate). The problem i am running into is a certain license agreement from a certain animation creator who i shall not mention. They sent out a update to the terms of use with Full Perm animations a while back, which essentially specified that you could not sell a product below a certain price that contained their animations. They went as far as to calculate the minimum selling price for the number of animations included in the product...and note i didn't say for the animations they created that are in the product...it is TOTAL animations in the product.

Normally i would just say "well fuck you then" and buy my animations elsewhere, but frankly part of my reputation is built on the quality of the animations i include, and as much as i hate to say it, they have some of the best ones and the largest variety. Still it leaves a sour taste in my mouth sometimes, like it did when i finished building this product and did the math.

This is the reason for a basic version. I removed each and every animation by the Creator i mention, then reset my price to whatever the hell i wanted upon release. I mean come on...it is a LAPTOP...not a bed, not a couch....a 3 prim thingy designed to be that little something neat you have in your house that people go..."what's that? what does it do? ha ha! that's great!"

Whichever version you choose to buy, i have made sure to make them worth purchasing. Just know if you buy the Basic you are missing out on some very fantastic and sexy animations. That's not to say the ones in the basic suck by any means. I wouldn't have put them in if i thought they did (and really if there is anything people should have learned about me by now, I am REALLY REALLY picky about animations...i can't STAND people who say "quality animations" and don't deliver. And i hate even more people who pack a item with 300-500 animations, that you will probably never use, just for marketing)
